<< My 2026 Posts >>
I don't get out much anymore but still love photography and still shoot pictures when I can. I will soon reach 90 years of age so not what I used to be. But I have photographed many subjects over the years and will post a photo when those that have meaning to me or that I haven't posted before. I do like to share.
<< Photo-A-Day 2025 >>
Posting a Photo-A-Day is good for me. It keeps me active physically and sharpens ability to see potential photographs. But especially, photography stirs my gratitude for the goodness of the Grand Creator, and the design seen in nature. I hope to continue posting a daily PAD. When I can't make it on a shoot, I will post an image from another day.
<< Favorites Over the Years >>
Displayed here will be some of my favorite shots from among those I have made over the years. I have focused on nature and wildlife much of the time and so you will find the emphasis on them. But I have also seen some beatiful scenes of nature and on occasion, people, though I have been somewhat intimated by that subject. Of course, my favorite subject has always been my wife. So you will see some of her too. I hope you enjoy the gallery.

<< Past PAD Galleries >>
My Photo-A-Day galleries go back to 2004. I am not able to make a photograph every single day. My PAD's show photos from every day that I am able to shoot pictures. Thanks for looking.
<< Extra Editions >>
Most often I post just one photo a day, my PAD. So a lot of images don't get posted.
For a few years I have collected other photos I liked and put them together into an Extra Edition gallery for the year.
It's a big job. I hope I can keep up with it.

<< Covered Bridges of Oregon >>
There are about 56 covered bridges left in Oregon, 50 of them available to the public, where there once was a total of about 650. Since 1987 Oregon has passed legislation to help fund preservation of these bridges. Because of the availability of timber, covered bridges were constructed well into the 1950's.
Here is an interesting website devoted to covered bridges in Oregon - http://www.covered-bridges.org/index.htm
A good review of Lane County's 20 covered bridges is here - http://www.co.lane.or.us/About/documents/Cov_Br_Bro_03.pdf

<< Flowers >>
I have learned so much about flowers since beginning to photograph them, especially names.
Still, I don't know the names of all that I have made images of.
If you would like, feel free to leave a comment with the name of any flower I haven't identified.
It would be very much appreciated.

<< Carol, My Love >>
Carol and I married in May of 1961, after first dating during much of 1960. She was always a special person with lots of friends, including some fellas who asked her to marry. But she told me that she never was so inclined.
We had met on a few earlier occasions, such as skating parties and other events. Once we got to know each other better, our relationship blossomed and we soon became best friends and soulmates. We stayed that way throughout almost 65 years of marriage and were devoted to each other.
I lost my dear Carol on March 18th of this year of 2026 and life without her has been difficult. I miss her so much. But we shared a strong faith and hope in the resurrection Jesus promised in John 5:29,29. This hope is of great encouragement to me.
